At Sri Vari Elevators, passenger safety is our absolute priority. Power fluctuations and sudden outages can be a cause of anxiety for elevator users. Our advanced Automatic Rescue Device (ARD) is a sophisticated electronic safety system that takes over the moment the main power supply fails, providing a calm and secure exit for everyone inside.

How the ARD Works

The ARD remains in "standby" mode during normal operation. The moment a power trip or blackout is detected:

  1. Instant Detection: The device senses the loss of the 3-phase power supply.

  2. Logic-Based Movement: Using its internal battery bank, the ARD intelligently calculates which floor is easiest to reach based on the elevator's load and position.

  3. Safe Landing: It moves the elevator at a controlled rescue speed to the nearest landing.

  4. Automatic Door Opening: Once the elevator is perfectly leveled, the ARD triggers the door operator to open, allowing passengers to exit safely.

Key Features of Our ARD System

  • Fully Automatic Operation: No manual intervention is required; the system activates and resets itself once main power is restored.

  • Advanced Battery Management: Equipped with high-quality, maintenance-free batteries and an intelligent charging system to ensure the device is always ready.

  • Overload Protection: The system is smart enough to detect if the lift is overloaded and will manage the rescue operation accordingly.

  • Universal Compatibility: Our ARD units are designed to integrate seamlessly with both Geared and MRL Gearless traction systems.

  • Compact Design: The unit is housed in a sleek, dust-proof cabinet that can be easily installed alongside the main control panel.

Why Every Building Needs an ARD

  • Eliminates Panic: Prevents passengers from being trapped in dark, confined spaces during power cuts.

  • Reduces Emergency Calls: Saves building management and maintenance teams from performing manual rescues.

  • Essential for Critical Facilities: A must-have for hospitals, senior living centers, and high-rise residential complexes where mobility is vital.
